Episode #36: Kimberly Yohe - Murdered (1996)

20-year-old Kimberly Yohe was found naked, beaten, strangled, hands bound behind her back floating in the Susquehanna River. Who could commit such a heinous crime?

Kimberly "Kimmie" Yohe

Birth: Approx. 1976 - Death: 5/8/1996

Ethnicity: Caucasian - Sex: Female

Height: Unknown - Weight: Unknown

Hair Color: Brown - Eye Color: Unknown

Hometown: Etters, PA (York County)


Crime Scene: Susquehanna River in Dauphin, PA (Middle Paxton Township).


Last Known Location Alive: It was noted she was seen at Gable's Truck Stop on Route 39 just 2 weeks prior to her discovery. Kimmie had no criminal record but she was known to stay out late and take several day long trips away from her home to spend time with friends and family. It had actually been about 2 weeks since her family had seen/heard from Kimmie when they received the death notification.


Injury Description: She was completely naked except for white athletic socks. She had been severely beaten, strangled and her hands were bound behind her back before being thrown into the river. It was estimated the body had been in the water for 5-9 days.


Suspect Description: Unknown


Additional Information: Kimmie’s dark blue 1987 Mazda 626 with 2 rebel flag stickers in the back window was actually found at Gable’s Truck Stop in Harrisburg, PA. According to an employee, Kimmie was last seen there about 2 weeks prior to her body being found.
