Hometown: Born in Birmingham, AL; the family moved to Miami, FL when Paula was 7 years old. At the time of her death, she was a student at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL
Crime Scene: Responding to a report of a purse in the middle of a street, police found Paula's body not far from where the purse was found. She had been strangled and presumed to have been thrown from a vehicle
Last Known Location Alive: Her dormitory at the University of Alabama. Earlier the evening of April 21, she had gone to dinner with a male acquaintance, then stopped by her brother's place to check on him, as he was grieving the loss of a female friend.
