A resident Mount Pocono, PA, David Allen Gross was a loving son and a hard-working man who loved the outdoors. David turned 21 on August 2nd and threw himself a big birthday party on August 6th on his parents' 173-acre property. In the early hours of August 11th, David was found murdered in the back of his own car, over 20 miles from his home.

Last Know Location Alive: Aug. 9, 1977, on Sullivan Trail in Tannersville
Injury Description: Six head wounds, consistent with the flathead of claw hammer, and a rope tied around the neck.
Suspect Description: Unknown, but it is speculated that he knew his assailant.
DNA: Unknown
Fingerprints: no fingerprints of note were discovered
